The Principal Program ("PP") is a program developed by Enduring and other partners to provide a path for motivated and capable individuals to receive the experience and training they need to one day manage and own their own business. Our hope is that this is often in conjunction with Enduring as a partner to them.

 

The PP is a multi-stage career program that combines job experience, structured education, and coaching to prepare our Associates for business ownership, and then help place them in an owner-operator or comparable role. Associates develop a strong grasp of business fundamentals rooted in experience rather than simply taught theory, and advance based on demonstrated results rather than company politics and perception.

Program stages range from entry level to senior roles, and each is designed to give you experience that builds business skills, judgment, and leadership.

As an Associate, the PP will offer you a true “apprenticeship in business” that lets you develop business skills and managerial/executive experience (while earning money rather than paying for an MBA) and provides a strong upward career trajectory culminating in a CEO/owner position.

We focus on industries and roles that allow relatively quick and concrete feedback. This creates a learning cycle in which you can more quickly grasp what works in business—how you can solve problems and get results—and be judged on real performance rather than subjective politics and perception.

 

The PP takes approximately 8-10 years from entry level to placement in a principal role, though people with the right experience may join at intermediate stages. The stages typically include sales/customer service/project management; basic general management/P&L responsibility; functional specialties; deal analysis and execution; and a deputy-to-CEO role.
